In colour photographic material with a base and red-, green- and blue-sensitive Ag halide (AgX) emulsion layers contg. cyan, magenta and yellow couplers resp. and opt. other light-insensitive layers, at least one of the layers contains an amphiphilic amide of formula (I); where A = 10-24C hydrophobic gp.; B = a hydrophilic gp. with 2-6 OH gps.; R1, R2 = H or 1-6 C alkyl; and n = 0 or 1. Pref. (I) is used in a green-sensitive AgX emulsion layer, which esp. contains a pyrazolotriazole magenta coupler. The amt. of (I) is 0.02-2 g/m<2>. The material contains AgClBr emulsions with >= 90 mole-% AgCl.
