The sleeve has a slot (3) for the insertion of a tongue (5), defined and positioned to guarantee convenient handling and storage of a standard audio compact disc or CD-ROM (6). The cosine curves of the slot and tongue are in a mirror-image relationship. The back (1) of the case is dimensioned for a clearance of 5 mm around the disk, so that the disk can be pushed in and pulled out of the slot without opposition. The cutout for the tongue is 5 cm long with side spacings of 4 cm and extends parallel to the lower or front edge at a distance of 2.5 cm.
