Introducing measuring instruments into horizontal or sloping borehole

In strongly sloping and horizontal holes, a small vehicle at the front end of a measuring strand of instruments takes a cable into the borehole for geophysical measurements. The vehicle is anchored at the beginning of the length of borehole to be measured and the cable is then used to bring in the remainder of the measuring instrument strand.
