The jogger device is useful in sorting sheets stacked on bin trays of a stapling sorter disposed at the discharging outlet of a photocopier or a facsimile. The jogger device of the stapling sorter comprises a number of bin trays(1) having a guide groove(2) allowing jogger action, a support frame(3) for bin trays equipped with a stationary shaft(3a) and a rotational shaft(3b) at a correspondent position to the guide groove, a straight rail(4) fixed to the stationary shaft(3a), a slide(6) moving along the straight rail, a bracket(7) with a guide shaft(8) moving together with the slide, a jogger arm(9) rotatably mounted to the rotational shaft(3b), a sector gear(10) fixed to one end of the jogger arm and rotatably mounted to the rotational shaft, and an electric motor which is capable of both clockwise and counter-clockwise rotation and supplying power to the sector gear.
