Common rail fuel injection valve e.g. for diesel IC engine

The improved injection jet has small diameter jets (11) for partial torque and larger jets (13) for full torque. The control needles for the jets are concentric with the partial jets controlled by a hollow needle (12) inside which is a central needle (14) for the full torque jets. The fuel injection system has a single fuel pump which charges a pressure reservoir (7) from which pressurised fuel is ducted to each of the injection jets. A return feed returns excess fuel to the fuel tank.
