A tool-holder comprises a body member 1 supported between support members 36, 37 having inclined surfaces 38, 39, the support members being adjustable either singly or together, in parallel or angled movement, to raise, lower, move sideways or incline the body member 1. The support members 36, 37 are mounted on a base 31, which may be a part of a machine, and are adjustable by screws 40 and the body member 1 is held on the support members by bolts 41 that pass through holes 42 that are oversize to allow adjustment to take place. A stabilizing member 4 is arranged to bear on the top edge of one of the support members to prevent rotation of the body member and its head 6 may incorporate a cam to allow contact with the support member in all adjusted positions or alternatively a plurality of different sized stabilizing members may be provided. The end 9 of the body member 1 includes a recess 11 and clamp arrangement 17 for holding a tool bit. |
