PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a molded article of a complicated shape by uniformly adding water to a salt having a specific particle diameter to give the salt having a specific water content and pressing the salt in the cold under isotropic pressure. SOLUTION: A fixed amount of water is uniformly added to a salt having 0.05-0.5mm particle diameter to prepare a salt having 0.2-3.0wt.% water content. Then the prepared salt is put in a rubber press mold. The mold is closed with a rubber stopper, put in a vinyl bag, is gradually decompressed by a using a vacuum sealing machine to seal the rubber press mold. The rubber press mold is put in a bucket and pressed in the cold under 700-4,000kg/cm<2> molding pressure to compress and solidify the salt. The molded article is taken out from the rubber press mold to give the objective molded article excellent in appearance free from discoloration. |
