<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To accurately specify the position of a pointer in a virtual three- dimensional space through easy operation. SOLUTION: The device is equipped with three rotating means, i.e., an X- axial ball 2, a (y)-axial ball 3, and a (z)-axial ball 4 which are provided corresponding to respective coordinate axes in the virtual three dimensional space on a display 11 and rotate by coming into contact with a reference surface. The position of the painter P along coordinate axes other than one coordinate axis is specified by rotating one of the three rotating means after one of the three rotating means is selected and the position of the pointer P along the coordinate axis corresponding to the selected rotating means is fixed.</p> |
