According to a turning position of the gear 53, an operation mode for selecting a rotating position of a magnetic head and its heightwise position, a reel base to be driven, a driving speed of the reel base and a pinch roller to be moved to its capstan, etc., is set up. By rotating the gear 54 by the planetary gear 49, the magnetic head and the pinch roller are moved into their setting positions. By rotating the motor 56 when a gear 60a to be rotationally driven by the planetary gear 49 is positioned in a toothless part of the gear 54, the capstans and either of the reel bases are driven to travel a magnetic tape in the reproducing or rewinding direction.</p> |
