PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a stopping apparatus which prevents a lock current from being continued to flow in a state that a moving body is moved to a home position so as to lock a motor. SOLUTION: A terminal T1 at an operating switch 12 is connected to a terminal T2 via a relay switch 14c, a motor 11 and a current detection resistance 21. An exciting current 14b is connected across the terminal T1 and the terminal T2 via a power control circuit 20. A transistor 16 at the power control circuit 20 is driven by the charging current of a capacitor 19. A breaker circuit 31 cuts off a motor 11 when a lock current flows to the motor 11. Even when a power-supply voltage is low and the breaker circuit 31 is not operated, the power control circuit 20 cuts off the motor 11 when the terminal voltage of the capacitor 19 reaches a prescribed level.
