<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sufficiently high modulus of elasticity, to reduce a weight and to obtain excellent ball hitting sensation by using a carbon fiber-carbon ceramic composite material for at least the face of a club head for golf. SOLUTION: The carbon fiber-carbon ceramic composite material (C/C ceramic material) is used for at least the face 6 of the golf club head 5 in order to increase the carry of a ball, to easily obtain the exact distance feel, to stabilize the directivity and to improve wear resistance and water resistance. The C/C ceramic material has at least one sheet and is formed by laminating the plural sheets in order to obtain the desired thickness. At this time, the lamination direction may be the same or different in the direction where the carbon fibers in the sheets are arranged. The ceramic content of the C/C ceramic material is set in a range of 0.1 to 50vol.%.</p> |
