<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a resin binder capable of giving a toner excellent in filming resistance without impairing sharp meltability, coloring property, fixability and blocking resistance. SOLUTION: This polyester resin contains polycarboxylic acid terbalent and higher valency by 0.5-5mol% of the total amt. of all acid components and/or polyhydric alcohol terbalent and higher valency as a constituent and has <=0.5mol% gel fraction and 1,000-52,000P melt viscosity at 118 deg.C. In the mol.wt. distribution of this polyester resin by gel permeation chromatography, the ratio of wt. average mol.wt.(Mw) to number average mol.wt.(Mw) is 1.5-5 and the peak top is in a mol.wt. region of <=20,000.</p> |
