摘要 <p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To release the lock of the opposite side door at a collision to rescue persons in the car, by transferring the movement of the door lock knob provided with an inertia mass to the door lever of the opposite side though a link and a bell crank. SOLUTION: A collision direction-detecting mechanism 1 constituted of a door lock knob 10 with a generally mushroom-shape section, provided with a cylindrical metallic weight 11 at one side of the head 101, is movably pivotted with a pin 103, in the inside handle bezels 100 in the four doors of a vehicle. One end of a link 21 is connected to the leg 102 of the door lock knob 10 and the other end of the link is connected to a bell crank 22 movably supported on the door and joined to the door lock lever of the opposite side, to form a release mechanism 2 of door lock. When the car has collided with a vehicle or the like at one side thereof, the weight 11 serves as an inertia mass and the door lock knob 10 moves to the reverse direction against the collision direction from the pin 103 as a support point and hence, the locked state of the opposite side door is released through the link 21 and the bell crank 22.</p>
