摘要 |
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a novel self-cleaning cover glass for instrument having contamination-proof function based on high fat and oil decomposing activity and high optical transparency. SOLUTION: The glass cover being fixed to an instrument is deposited, at least partially on the outer surface of a glass plate 1, with titanium oxide 2 exhibiting photocatalytic action. The titanium oxide 2 exhibits linear transmittance of 50% or above for the light having wavelength of 550nm, 50% or less for the light having wavelength of 350nm, and has the power for decomposing 0.5μg or more of linolic acid per 1cm<2> of titanium oxide per hour upon irradiation with UV-rays containing at least a part of light having wavelength in the range of 300-400nm at an intensity of 5mW/cm<2> . This composition realizes a novel self-cleaning cover glass for instrument having excellent fat and oil decomposing properties and exhibiting high transparency to visible light.
