CARD PROCESSING METHOD AND CARD PROCESSING SYSTEM

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent erroneous recognition and to execute a high speed processing by processing cards in an order adjusted to the rank of card identification information, comparing it with card identification information expected from the order and recognizing the character of the card. SOLUTION: The arithmetic control means 13 of the card processing system 10 controls the operation timing of an access means 11 writing information into the card, a transportation means 12 and a character recognition means 14. The character recognition means 14 recognizes whether card identification information from the arithmetic control means is matched with identification information of the card which is to be read or not. The arithmetic control means 13 receives the recognition result, transmits processing information of issuing data applied to card identification information to the access means 11 and executes a desired processing. When a group of the cards which are to be processed are previously prepared so that they can be processed in the order adjusted to the rank of card identification information and the respective cards are processed, it is compared with card identification information expected from the order and the character of the card is recognized.
