<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image data display device on which continuously enlarged image data can be read by automatically moving an object area of an enlargement window along a document written in an image document. SOLUTION: The image document display device having a window wherein part of an image document can be enlarged and displayed enables the document to be read continuously by automatically moving the object area of the enlargement window along the document written in the image document by an image data storage device 15 for storing the whole image data and a character segmenting device 18 which can cut character strings of respective lines. At this time, the movement and display are performed while a character string which is currently enlarged and displayed by a character recognition device 19 which recognizes characters from the cut image data and a speech synthesizing device 20 which generates character strings from character string data. The end of the document in a display page is detected and when there is a following page, the enlargement window is automatically moved to the next page.</p> |
