<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To stabilize the operation of a printer by discriminating simply the case of connecting a signal line with a signal input terminal of an initialization control device from the case of releasing, and protecting the initialization control device from being affected by the released terminal in the case of releasing. SOLUTION: Whether a central control device 4 is initialized or the ordinary operation state is continued is determined by an initialization device 2 in the state of initialization signal input 8, in which the ordinary connection is set with an initialization signal input terminal, through the initialization signal input 6. When the initialization signal input 8 is not connected and the released state is set up, the release state of the initialization signal input signal 8 is sensed by a signal discrimination device 3, and the initialization device operation state control signal output 5 is set in the initialization device 2 and a signal for prohibiting the operation is output. The initialization output for initializing the central control device 4 to be output through the initialization signal output 6 is prohibited by the initialization device 2 by the above arrangement, and the ordinary operation is continued by the central control device 4 without being affected by the released initialization signal input 8.</p> |
