PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a material to be ink-jet recorded for which the bonding properties of an ink receptive layer is improved by forming an intermediate layer between a substrate and the ink receptive layer. SOLUTION: In a material to be ink jet-recorded provided with at least an intermediate layer and an ink receptive layer on a substrate in the above-said order, colloidal silica and a curing agent, or colloidal silica and an organic bonding agent, or composite particles composed of organic fine particles of bonding properties with their surfaces coated with colloidal silica are contained in the intermediate layer. Also an ink receptive layer containing at least one of either gelatin or a cellulose derivative is used to provide a material to be ink jet recorded keeping the high image quality even under the high humidity.
