PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make an optical disk device small in size and light in weight. SOLUTION: An erasing lens actuator 11 provided with an erasing objective lens 5 and a recording lens actuator 12 provided with a recording objective lens 6 are equipped on a carriage 2. Then, magnetic field generating means 21 and 22 are provided as a means for driving the lens 5, while magnetic field generating means 21 and 23 are provided as a means for driving the lens 6, whereas the means 21 is used in common. Moreover, the magnetic field generating means 21-23 are opposite disposed on both sides of optical axes of the individual objective lenses with their polarity facing the same pole to each other. Consequently, a bias magnetic field required at the time of information erasing and recording operations respectively is generated from the magnetic field generating means for driving the objective lens. |
