PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide the image processing unit in which image quality of a generated image is prevented by preventing production of white level missing in a pattern border of each color in the case of carrying out nonmagnetic one- component development. SOLUTION: An n-th picture element density value VD(n) in a line is given to an A input of a selector 207 and the density value VD(n-1) of (n-1)th picture element is given to a B input. On the other hand, a subtractor 203 calculates an increment of the density value VD(n) with respect to the density value VD(n-1) and when a comparator 204 discriminates it that the increment is below a prescribed value C1, the selection signal of the selector 207 is set to select the terminal B (just preceding picture element value). Thus, when the image satisfies a prescribed condition, the image is thickened to prevent missing of white level. |
