FORMATION OF CERAMIC LAYER ON SURFACE OF INNER WALL OF CYLINDER MADE OF FRP FOR VACUUM VESSEL

摘要

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To form a ceramic layer capable of reducing the amt. of gas discharged from the inner wall of a cylinder made of FRP glass fiber reinforced plastics on the surface of the inner wall so that FRP can be used for a vacuum vessel. SOLUTION: Alumina powder of <=10μm average particle diameter is plasma- sprayed in >=30μm thickness in an atmosphere under a reduced pressure of <=684Torr to form the objective alumina layer on the surface of the inner wall of a cylinder made of FRP for a vacuum vessel.
