PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide the manufacturing method with which a photovoltaic element, having a light incidence side electrode whose resistance can be made low without decreasing a photoelectric conversion region, can be manufactured at low cost. SOLUTION: In a photovoltaic element having the layer structure consisting of a conductive substrate 11, an insulative layer 12, a conductive layer 13, a semiconductor junction layer 14 and a transparent conductive layer 15, the conductive layer 13 has a plurality of nonconductive part α18 which are not covered by the insulative layer 12, and a part β19, with which the conductive substrate 11 and the transparent conductive layer are brought into electrical contact with each other, is formed on the position which does not come into contact with the conductive layer in the chipped part. Also, the nonconductive part α is formed in a circular shape, and is arranged in triangular lattice form in plane. The first process to fifth process are provided for formation of the photovoltaic element. |
