A method for providing a power in case of receiving a star-sight broadcasting signal is disclosed. A star-sight broadcasting signal provided from an external is processed, demodulated and stored at a memory. A present time is checked at a microcomputer(2). And it is determined whether the present time is coincided with a star-sight broadcasting start time. According to a control signal from the microcomputer(2), a switch(9) provides or breaks a high voltage to a monitor. A demodulated star-sight data, which is demodulated at a star-sight signal demodulation unit(4), is stored at a star-sight memory(3). It is determined whether the present time is coincided with a star-sight broadcasting end time, and by determination result, the operations of a regulator(5) and a flyback transformer(10) are controlled.
