PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for manufacturing rare-earth magnetic material powder of which a main phase is a R2 T14 M type intermetallic compound excellent in magnetic anisotropy. SOLUTION: In an R-T-M-A alloy raw material, in hydrogen atmosphere or in mixed gas atmosphere of hydrogen and inert gas, a specific temperature within a range of temperature 500 to 1000 deg.C is held, whereby hydrogen storage processing is performed, and successively a specific temperature with a range of 500 to 1000 deg.C is held in vacuum atmosphere of 1Torr or less, whereby dehydrogenating process is performed to release hydrogen compulsorily from the R-T-M-A based alloy raw material which has been hydrogen storage processed. After that, it is cooled and then pulverized. In a method for manufacturing rare-earth magnetic material powder having a re-coupling gathering organization of a fine R2 T14 B type intermetallic compound phase, plastic processings are performed in the R-T-M-A alloy raw material which is being performed dehydrogenating process. |
