<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the excessive feeding of a neutralizer and also to check the lowering of desulfurizing efficiency when the derivation of unreacted calcium carbonate concentration in an absorption tower is a set value or more and the derivation of the number of mass transfer units in the absorption tower is a set value or less by rapidly feeding the required quantity of the neutralizer into the absorber. SOLUTION: In the case the derivation of unteacted calcium carbonate concentration in an absorption tower 5 obtained based on a detection signal 29a from a calcium carbonate concentration detector 29 is a set value or more and the derivation of the number of mass transfer units showing the degree of difficulty of absorption operation obtained based on detection signals 30a, 31a from an absorption tower 5 inlet sulfur dioxide concentration detector 30 and an absorption tower 5 outlet sulfur dioxide concentration detector 31 is a set value or less, a drive command signal 27a is outputted to an activity lowering preventive neutralizer feeding pump 27 from an arithmetic controller 32, and an open command signal 28a is outputted to an activity lowering preventive neutralizer feeding valve 28. The required quantity of an neutralizer 12 is rapidly fed into the absorption tower 5 from a neutralizer storage tank 26.</p> |
