PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ATM exchange system in which cell synchronization of both systems can be surely taken with respect to the ATM exchange system. SOLUTION: In the ATM exchange system in which a duplicate line adapting common section 30 and a single line adapting section S20 are interconnected, the line adaptor section 20 connecting to an incoming line has #0, #1 cell buffers 22. Each cell buffer 22 is provided corresponding to each line adapting common section 30 on an incoming highway. Furthermore, the line adapting section 20 is provided with a cell synchronization control means 40 controlling write/ read of an ATM cell to/from the cell buffers 33. Then the synchronization control means 40 receives a clock and an active signal from each line adapting common display section 30. Then the synchronization control means 40 gives an ATM cell write signal W and individual ATM cell read signals R1, R2 to the #0, #1 cell buffers in common. |
