PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the wasteful outflow of ink or the back flow thereof by efficiently transmitting load applied to ink to a printing head at a time of purging and immediately returning the same to a state absorbing the pressure fluctuations of ink after the completion of purging. SOLUTION: A pressure absorbing substrate 51 having a pressure absorbing chamber 51a formed thereto is arranged to the ink passage from an ink tank to a printing head and a pressure absorbing film 52 composed of a flexible film is bonded to the pressure absorbing chamber 51a to hermetically close the chamber 51a. A prescribing member 61 positioned so as to be usually spaced apart from the pressure absorbing film 52 is arranged. The prescribing member 61 is shaken and driven at a time of purging and the prescribing plate 61c thereof is brought into contact with the pressure absorbing film 52. The prescribing member 61 is driven so as to be shaken in connection with the plunger 62b driven so as to advance and retreat by a solenoid 62a.
