PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a surface protective film which satisfies both thermal processability making it possible to process without sticky force, adhesive properties and contamination and surface characteristics (blocking) and makes it possible to be applied to a rough surface plate. SOLUTION: This surface protective film comprises a sticky layer and a base material layer of a composite state, wherein the sticky layer is formed of an ethylene-α-olefin copolymer having a density of 0.860 to 0.920 and a melting point of 60 to 115 deg.C or a mixture of ethylene-α-olefin copolymer having a density of 0.860 to 0.920 and a melting point of 60 to 115 deg.C and a stickiness imparting agent.
