A method for warning a receiving status of a facsimile machine which is connected to a private switching system having its own unique code for each inner subscriber is disclosed. First, a voice message is stored when a message is received. And then, it is determined whether the receiving message contains the unique code. When the receiving message contains the unique code, the inner subscriber relevant to the unique code is called through the private switching system and a telecommunication channel is established. When the channel is established, the stored voice message is provided to the subscriber. Thereby, the subscriber does not need to check the facsimile transmission status around the facsimile machine.
