PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical communication equipment capable of smoothing the optical spatial transmission of Manchester codes and link test pulses, etc. SOLUTION: In an optical communication LAN equipment 15 for transmitting signals by the optical spatial transmission, a transmission side signal judgement circuit 31 judges whether transmission signals transmitted from a LAN connection equipment are the Manchester codes or the exception signals of the link test pulses or the like. A binary/M-ary conversion circuit 32 converts the Manchester codes to M-ary PPM signals and a peculiar signal generation circuit 33 generates peculiar signals corresponding to the exception signals. A light emission part 34 transmits the M-ary PPM signals and the peculiar signals as optical signals. The kind of the M-ary PPM signals or the peculiar signals converted in a light reception part 35 is judged by a reception side signal judgement circuit 36. The M-ary PPM signals are converted to the Manchester codes by an M-ary/binary conversion circuit 37, the peculiar signals are converted to corresponding link test pulse signals by a link test pulse generation circuit 38 and they are transmitted to the LAN connection equipment. |
