<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a developer ensuring low consumption of electric power, generating no ozone, not deteriorating image quality, capable of exhibiting releasability at a low temp., excellent in anti-offsetting property and powder flowability and causing no blocking phenomenon and to provide an image forming method. SOLUTION: This toner contains a bonding resin, a colorant and a lubricant and the bonding resin contains a styrene-acrylic copolymer having at least one mol.wt. peak in the wt. average mol. range of 1,000-50,000 and at least one mol.wt. peak in the range of 100,000-1,000,000. The lubricant is modified polyethylene wax obtd. by graft-modifying an ethylene homopolymer obtd. by polymn. in the presence of a metallocene catalyst or a copolymer of ethylene with 3-10Cα-olefin as a polyethylene polymer with a styrene monomer and/or an unsatd. carboxylic acid monomer. The amt. of a component extracted from the wax by hexane is <=65%.</p> |
