<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the relay efficiency without the need for data copy by reading a packet body out of a storage area corresponding to a transmission reception discriptor and transferring the packet to each transmission destination in the case of multiple address communication. SOLUTION: A packet repeater 1 discriminates it that multiple address communication is designated when a multiple address communication identifier is included in a received header and stores a packet body to an idle area in a common share memory M and publicates a transmission reception discriptor TD. Furthermore, n-sets of transmission destination addresses included in the header are stored in cross reference with the transmission reception discriptor TD and n-sets of multiple address communication discriptors MD are publicated. A relay processing section C extracts sequentially the multiple address communication discriptors MD, selects a specific transmission reception processing section T, based on the written transmission destination address, the packet body is read out of the area corresponding to the transmission reception discriptors TD and the transmission is requested. The processing above is repeated sequentially for n-times.</p> |
