PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce a reduction in output by an intermittent electric connection and stably obtain high output by a method wherein sealing resin mixed with a specific value of thermal conductive particles is filled in resin having a specific shore D hardness and linear expansion in a heat radiating casing. SOLUTION: A positive temperature coefficient thermistor has a thermistor element 1; metal terminals 2, 3 between which this thermistor element 1 is interposed; wedge-shaped insulation plates 4, 5; and a heat radiating casing 6 made of a metal. After each of element parts 1 to 5 is received in the heat radiating casing 6, liquefied sealing resin 7 is filled from an opening 6a of the heat radiating casing 6 in an atmosphere under conditions of decompression deaeration. Next, as the sealing resin 7, alumina powders of 20 to 80wt.% is mixed with polyimide resin to be used. Incidentally, shore D hardness of the sealing resin 7 is 70 or over and linear expansion ratio is 1.0×10<-4> / deg.C.
