PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To rationalize production of a drawing and winding line and to improve quality of a product by preventing friction of wires with each other and with a metallic part of a machine. SOLUTION: It is a method to wind up a wire 7 in the middle of travelling on a winding reel 18 after drawing it up by plurally and reciprocally winding it around a pair of capstans 16A, 16B, and at least two ring grooves 19 are respectively provided on a pair of the capstans 16A, 16B in parallel and the wire 7 in the middle of travelling is wound around each of the ring grooves 19. Additionally, growth of a frictional flaw is eliminated by making it possible to draw the wire 7 while absorbing extension of it due to elastic and temperature change by gradually reducing a winding diameterϕof those ring grooves 19 from the upper side toward the lower side with a travelling flow of the wire 7 as its standard.
