FILLER UNIT AND MANUFACTURE THEREOF

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a filler unit capable of preventing the generation of white fuming without necessity of a complicated management such as closing of a shade plate and a method for manufacturing the same. SOLUTION: Many filler plates 1 having uneven surfaces where water to be cooled and scattered from above flows are hung at a predetermined interval in parallel, and shade members 2 are horizontally disposed at suitable positions between the adjacent plates 1. The each member 2 has two side plates parallel to one another, and a top plate for coupling the upper edges of the side plates. The gap for passing the water to be cooled is provided between the side plate and the plate 1. Thus, the generation of white fuming can be prevented.
