PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a bicycle having a simpler and more accurate transmission system without using a reduction gear and a chain. SOLUTION: A frame 3 is provided with a stepping rod active frame 17, a bearing plate 13 and a pressure plate wheel rod 18. One end of each of stepping rods 14 and 16 has a pedal 15, and the other end thereof has a projection 20 connected to a toothed plate 8 having an oblong hole 11 at an intermediate part, or in such a state as constrained with the stepping rod active frame 17. For keeping a posture to step down the pedal 15 at all times, the stepping rods 14 and 16 are respectively acted by a spring 10. Furthermore, an intermediate gear 7 is provided, so as to be interlocked with a free wheel 5 fitted to a rear wheel 4, and another free wheel 6 is also fitted to the rear wheel 4. Also, a shift rod 19 is laid in a shift reservoir 12, and this rod 19 is capable of moving on the operation of a shift lever 1 and a shift wire 2. The toothed plate 8 is capable of crawling within a constant angular range around a joint with the stepping rod 14. In this case, the toothed plate 8 is always attached to the free wheel 6, due to the pressure of the pressure plate wheel 9. |
