PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily expand the width of gradation expression by performing the recording corresponding to multi-value recording data by emitting inks different in density in respective emitting quantities to linearlize the same to interpolate gradation stages. SOLUTION: The densities of a recording image are set to five stages inclusive of a non-emitting state and ink droplets 1-4 are emitted from nozzles 5-8 provided with heaters 9-12. The nozzles 6, 8 are set so as to become large in ink emitting quantity and the nozzles 5, 7 are set so as to become little in ink emitting quantity. In this case, it is unnecessary to set the nozzles 5, 7 or the nozzles 6, 8 to the same dimension and the calibers of emitting orifices or the dimension, shapes and positions of the heaters are adjusted in matching relation to the properties of the inks to stably emit inks. If drive voltage is planned so as to be set single when the dimensions of the heaters are adjusted, the respective nozzles can be driven under the same condition and a separate head can be easily mounted on the same main body to be driven. By this constitution, drive ranks can be also made same. |
