PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To keep compatibility with a usual optical disk recording system, to reduce a regenerative signal noise from the optical disk difficult in a conventional reproducing system without reducing a data recording area and to remarkably improve a signal/noise ratio. SOLUTION: A device recording/reproducing information on the disk 5 is constituted of a light source 1, an optical system 3 leading a luminous flux 2 from the light source, an optical element 4 converging the luminous flux from the optical system 3 on the rotating disk 5, a signal detection optical system 7 detecting the reflected light from the disk 5 surface through the optical element 4, a photodetector 8 photoelectrically converting and a data detection circuit 10. Then, by modulating the intensity of the luminous flux 2 radiated from the light source 1 with a modulation circuit 13 synchronizing with the data detection timing, a multiplication value between a response waveform signal from an information mark by an optical spot and a light intensity modulation signal is integrated ranging to a fixed time, and a regenerative signal is obtained, and the signal/noise is improved. |
