摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical disk device which makes an optical disk of standard density and that of high density recordable and reproducible with optimum spot diameters respectively. SOLUTION: An optical disk 31 is rotated by a spindle motor 32 to read signals from the optical disk 31 by a pickup 34. This signal includes components of servo signal and high-frequency signal, and the high-frequency signals are subjected to demodulation and error correction by a signal processing section 36 to be converted to analog signals by a D/A converter 37 and to be outputted in the form of sound signals and image signals. A control section 39 generates clocks which control the rotation of the optical disk 31 from the high-frequency signals and outputs them to a spindle servo circuit 33, which applies circuit servo control to a spindle motor 32 by a servo control circuit 33. The control section 39 controls the signal processing section 36, a focus support-, tracking support-, and slide support servo control circuit 35, and a spindle support circuit 33.
