HEAT RETAINING BRICK AND METHOD OF MANUFACTURE THEREOF

A cylindrical heat retaining brick including a core made of curable heat retaining cement and an outer layer made of a rigid moisture-absorbent material is disclosed. The outer layer is rigid enough so that the cement forming the core may be poured. The outer layer draws moisture from the cement by capillary effect and is used to indicate when the cement is fully cured.
