摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an in-cylinder pressure detector for diesel engine in which the pressure in the cylinder can be detected accurately through simple structure with high workability without requiring any installation space. SOLUTION: A pressure sensor 2 is inserted between the ceramic heater part 4 of a glow plug 3 fixed to a cylinder head 1 while facing the inside of cylinder directly, and a member 6 for fixing the ceramic heater part 4 thus building the pressure sensor 2 in the glow plug 3. Since the pressure sensor 2 directly detects the displacement of ceramic heater part 4 which faces the inside of cylinder and displaced or deformed by the pressure in the cylinder, the detection accuracy can be enhanced significantly as compared with a detector for detecting the cylinder pressure by detecting the resilient deformation of cylinder head 1 indirectly. Furthermore, the space can be saved because the pressure sensor 2 is built in the glow plug 3 and the workability can be enhanced significantly while decreasing the possibility of disconnection because a lead wire 2A is not exposed to the outside at the hexagonal tightening part of glow plug 3.
