PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for fusing a glass to ceramics by which the chipping or breaking of fused glass or warpage, etc., of the ceramics can be reduced in fusing ceramic pieces with the glass. SOLUTION: This method for fusing glass to ceramics comprises a step for bringing the glass into contact with the ceramic pieces, heating both at a temperature for flowing the glass, then cooling both to the yield point At in a heat-up process for the glass and subsequently annealing both at a temperature of the yield point At'±10 deg.C for at least 1hr in a temperature decreasing process for the glass. The method is effective when the volume ratio of ceramics/glass is <=10 in fusing the glass and used in a step for fusing the molded glass to the ceramics for a magnetic head.
