PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain abrasion-resistant article having high life, having high surface smoothness of diamond coat, capable of highly keeping abrasion resistance of diamond coat itself and enhancing loss resistance of the diamond coat and keeping the above effect even if the diamond coat is formed into >=20Αmm thickness. SOLUTION: This diamond coated article consists substantially of a substrate and plural laminated polycrystal diamond film layers, and the film layers have 6-13μm thickness and 3-7μm average crystal diameter in the face direction of the film and have diamond crystal in (111) orientation exposed on the surface and the article satisfy the formula, I (U)/I (D)<0.2 when maximum strength of Raman peak which appears in the neighborhood of 1333cm<-1> is I (D) and maximum strength of Raman peak of non-diamond which appears between 1200cm<-1> and 1600<-1> is I (U). |
