New coordination complexes of transition metals having cytostatic activity, of general formula (AB)xM(L)n-x, where M is a transition metal taken from the group comprising Pt II, Pd II and Au III; AB represents molecules of bile acid, which may be the same or different, x is the number of such molecules of bile acid AB and lies between 1 and the number of bonding sites (n) for the metal atom M and L represents one or more ligands which occupy the remainder of the (n-x) metal linking sites.
