SYSTEM FOR SEPARATING SAND FROM SALINE SOLUTIONS

A system for separating sand from saline solutions is proposed where in a saturated atmosphere the wet sand is exposed to strong capillary forces and by this the humidity surrounding the sand particles is absorbed in a porous capillary material; the danger of vaporisation and crystallization is avoided by the air saturated atmosphere provided by a small steam generator.
