Brake warning lamp fitted in rear window of motor vehicle

The brake warning lamp has a shell (1) with internal supports for the optical fibres (30). The supports each house an optical fibre which is guided to form a bundle of fibres at the back of the lamp shell. The fibre bundle connects to a light source. The support is made up of a series of modular units (15) each having a number of parallel conduits (29) for fixing the ends of the optical fibres. Provision is made to attach each modular unit to a neighbouring unit. The rear of the shell has a fibre bundle entry gland at one end and is curved to follow the curvature of the fibres at the other end.
