The blind consists of a support (1) with a roller (11) which winds a flexible screen (15) around a horizontal axis (13). Two retaining components (19) are attached one to each end of a gripping bar (17) at the lower edge of the screen to retain it within a fixed plane (P) relative to the support. The retaining components comprise profiled members whose transverse cross-section is elastically deformable between stable and unstable conditions. In the stable condition the members have a non-negligible moment of inertia relative to an axis perpendicular to their longitudinal axis, and in the unstable condition the moment of inertia is significantly smaller than in the stable condition.
