The central body (14) of the core (5) has a recess (15) for the head (11) of the arm (4). Two mounting legs (17) have fixing holes (18). A hole through the head accommodates a fixing device securing it to the central body of the core. A base (9) at right angles to the head has locking devices working with the core to determine the alignment. A rib (7) is joined at one end (29) to the base, and has at the other a mounting face and fixing holes for the table leg. In some positions at least on the arm, the leg can be to the outside of the table plate, which can be above the top end of one leg at least, or below it.
