The vehicle rear seat comprises a back and a seat (3) which can rotate, by a tipping linkage (10) on the vehicle floor (6), between horizontal and vertical positions. The tipping linkage defines a quadrilateral whose two large sides form two rotational axes perpendicular to the vehicle longitudinal direction. These axes are pivoted respectively on the seat base (3a) and on the vehicle floor. The quadrilateral small sides are formed by a connecting part (13) which rigidly joins the rotational axis (11) pivoted on the seat base to the rotational axis (12) pivoted on the floor. Each assembly formed by a rotational axis pivoted on the seat base, a rotational axis pivoted on the floor and the corresponding connecting part constitute a single piece formed by a metal rod. Each metal rod is folded along a part of the floor section located under the seat. |
