Alphanumeric keyboard with symmetrical arrangement of keys

The layout of the AZERTY keyboard is symmetrical about a raised central axis (Y-Y') midway between the B and N keys. The axis respects the traditional implementation of columns of characters (5-10) in the left-hand half of the block of principal keys. In the right-hand half corresponding columns (10'-15') are sloped to an equal degree in the opposite direction to improve the position of the right hand.
